USA Funds® is hosting Education-Lender Forums in 2006.
The one-day events are being offered to help keep you abreast of the latest ways to navigate the ever-changing education-finance marketplace. The Education-Lender Forums will begin at 9 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast opening at 8:30 a.m. All workshops will adjourn at 4:30 p.m.
The Education-Lender Forums will cover the following topics:
Debt-Management initiatives
This session will provide an overview of Student Assistance Corporation as well as review the services provided by SAC to USA Funds on behalf of its on-going efforts to prevent borrower default.
OpenNet 2.0
This session will explain how OpenNet gives your school customers more control over loan processing. In addition, you’ll learn about the benefits of the new lender-inquiry and promissory-note-access features of OpenNet and prospective custom-reporting enhancements for lenders. USA Funds supports OpenNet in addition to other leading, open loan delivery systems available in the Federal Family Education Loan Program.
Policy and regulatory update
This session will update you on the progress of the eighth reauthorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965. We also will report on recent changes to federal student-aid policies and procedures.
USA Funds Connection
This session will describe how the new Web portal links financial-aid professionals to the Web-based information, resources and applications that they need to do their jobs. In addition, USA Funds ConnectionSM offers schools a Web view customized to their needs, as well as premium features not available through the USA Funds Web site.
USA Funds Debt Manager
Close contact with borrowers on campus and following graduation is one of the keys to successful default prevention. We’ll explain how USA Funds makes it easy for your schools to develop and carry out customized borrower-contact campaigns using USA Funds Debt Manager™. This Web-based software program permits your schools to import loan data to prepare letters or telephone calls to borrowers.
USA Funds Life Skills
To address the special personal-finance challenges faced by graduate and professional students, USA Funds is enhancing its innovative financial literacy program. We’ll highlight new USA Funds Life Skills® materials for graduate and professional students.
Working lunch
During lunch we’ll answer your questions about USA Funds’ products and services, and solicit your advice about new services and enhancements that will help us better serve you and your customers.
